 Nintendo annouce the Revolution!
by Ando Last but not least - Nintendo did some unveiling of it's own this week, breaking their silence on their next generation game platforms, which they hope will give them the edge on rivals Sony and Microsoft in the fight for gaming dollars.
Nintendo unviel their ideas to an enthusiastic audience
Revolution is coming
Code-named "Revolution" - The next generation Nintendo console was shown to the standing audience present at Nintendo's E3 press extravaganza. There were no games on show or screenshots to speak of, only a tease of the console itself and a sniff of what's to come. The system is reported to be two to three times as powerful as its current-generation console Gamecube.

PlayStation 3 first impressions it's GO TIME!
by Ando Here are your first look screenshots of the new PlayStation 3 thats due to be instores early 2006. I must say I like the new look and am loving the console wars that are going on at the moment. I am not a huge Xbox fan but like the look of their new console as well. Ofcourse this is more than just about appearances. The power both the units are reported to pump out is nothing short of astounding.... Read On |

Playboy: The Mansion. PS2/Xbox/PC Review Become Hugh Heffner! Try and get rid of that "old guy smell"
by Hillelman Ok, let's just get it out of the way right now; being Hugh Heffner ends up being pretty dull. At least, in Playboy the Mansion it does. In real life I'm sure that being Hugh Heffner is often quite a lot of fun. The guy gets to be a creepy old pervert for a living, nice one mate. In the game though, it just isn't too thrilling at all. In fact, much of the time it all feels like something of a chore. Ubisoft sent us a few really fun and interesting games recently (I'll be talking more about those soon); unfortunately this particular title doesn't really warrant that description. So, does that mean it is utterly worthless? Well, no, not quite.... Read On |

PSP delayed again! Yes but with more power?
by Ando The Australian launch of the PSP has been delayed until atleast 1st September 2005. This puts it a full nine months after the Japan launch. The issues causing the delay are shortages of components and to boost stock availability for the Japan and US markets (so we can blame the yanks). ... Read On |

Shadow of Rome PS2 Review Capcoms new splatter fest
by Ando I loved the Ridley Scott Hollywood blockbuster Gladiator starring our homegrown (slightly New Zealand) Russell Crowe (I think I saw it 3 or 4 times at the movies). It had everything a growing boy needs â home grown heroes, incestuous villains, epic battles, terrible injustice and lots of old fashioned steel in ya gut violence. But it also had an historical context that could fascinate and inspire even the most cynical of imaginations. That historical context or backdrop if you like was the Roman Empire... Read On |

WarioWare Touched! Nintendo DS Review Do you enjoy rubbing and touching?
by Hillelman This is a tough one to review in some ways. You see, while I absolutely love it, in many ways WarioWare Touched is not what Iâd usually call a very good game. Fundamentally it is pretty limited. Thereâs very little depth to it, the gameplay is exceedingly basic and repetition sets in quite early on. Yet, despite all of that, Iâve played it (at least briefly) every night for the past couple of weeks and I think Iâll continue to do so for a while longer yet.... Read On |

by Hillelman Sydney, NSW â April 5, 2005 â According to the 2004 Urban Mobility Report by the Texas Transportation Institute, U.S. commuters endured 3.5 billion hours of traffic delays in 2002, at a cost of more than $63.2 billion. PlayStation 2 "Hack 'n' Slash" Double Review: Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends and Blood Will Tell
by Hillelman Any game that has âXtremeâ (or any variation of the word extreme) in its title is going to face an uphill battle winning me over. Because it is a proven historical fact that, 9 times out of 10, âXtreme/Extremeâ equals either (or both) âtries way too hard to be coolâ or âall style and no substanceâ. Samurai Warriors Xtreme Legends fought hard to dispel my pre-conceptions. In fact, the game put up such an admirable amount of effort that I ended up rather liking it. But, in the war to completely capture my affection, it ultimately couldnât quite manage to emerge fully victorious. ... Read On |

Doom 3 on Xbox press release with screenshots and footage The best looking Xbox game ever
by Hillelman I don't know how they did it, but Doom 3 on the Xbox looks amazing. It really is extremely close to what the game looks like running on a high end PC. It is safe to say that if you're a Doom fan and your PC wasn't powerful enough to run the game, you should definitley grab a copy of the Xbox version right away. In fact, even if you have the PC version
you might want to check out the Xbox port, because it features an added co-op mode! For a quick look at the game in action take a look at this cool Doom 3 Xbox commercial. The press release and a couple more screenshots are included below.... Read On |

Far Cry Instincts First Look More Far Cry action on the way, this time for the consoles.
by Hillelman Far Cry on the PC was a brilliant game. The upcomming Far Cry Instincts for the consoles looks like it will be equally as great, if not even greater! The PC version is still one of the nicest looking games around and the graphics of Instincts look like they will be able to match those standards. Given the relatively weaker processing power of the console systems this is a remarkable achievment. Experimentation and exploration will also be expanded upon, which should be awesome since the first game was no slouch in that department. All up this is one game I can hardly wait for. Check out the press release from Ubisoft below, along with a few screenshots of the game.... Read On |

The Punisher Xbox/PS2 Review A little bit of the old ultra-violence
by Mugwai Ahh, The Punisher, another sacred comic book translated to movie translated to game. This can be sketchy territory. Comic book games should be brilliant given the rich source material (X-Men Legends) but some can be dire or complete turds, purged straight from Satanâs steaming asshole (the last Spawn game anyone?). Fortunately for us The Punisher, one of Marvelâs most violent characters, makes for play worthy game fodder.... Read On |

Software Review: AntiVir Personal Edition What's the verdict on this free anti-virus program?
by Andrew Berry Think of an extreme sport. Something like any of the following: Big wave surfing, moto-X, BASE jumping, white water raftingâ¦the list goes on. Participate in any extreme sport, and the chances of âwill I get hurt?â become more of a âwhenâ rather than âifâ. Itâs a haunting thought. ... Read On |

Sonic Mega Collection Plus. PS2/Xbox Review This is the Buttonhole review PLUS!
by Hillelman This is the same as Sonic Mega Collection for the Nintendo Gamecube, only with a couple of extras (hence the Plus). There is a lot to love here. It takes some searching to get the most out of this collection, but once you unlock everything it has to offer it becomes a must have disc for fans of classic games (a couple of which are not Sonic games). ...
