ACMI Day Tripper

Welcome Buttonhole readers to another feature that is so choc-full of goodness that I've divided it into several sections. The top half is about the Indy video games showcased at ACMI. The bottom half is about the Pixar exhibit. It's ridiculously long and all terribly interesting to read, so you may as well read it in two halves, or just the parts that interest you. After reading about the ACMI exhibits on their website and getting more than a little excited, I decided to make the perilous trek to inner Melbourne. With time on my side and money stuffed in my pocket I ventured forth to the train station. Once on board I passed the time by staring out the window, reading a volume of Dark Horse's Concrete and snacking on tasty fruit. Arriving at Flinders St, I wandered around until inevitably finding my way out of the rat-maze like station.

Classic Comic-book Review. Kraven's Last Hunt

Love is in the air! Buttonhole's Special K (Kris) and Madame Hooplah (Sarah) recently returned from their holiday at Peppers Palm Bay Resort on Long Island. The biggest news of their trip is the fact that while they were up there, big K knelt in the sand (thus making him, briefly, the same height as a regular person) and popped the question. What's more, the lovely Sares said yes (of course she did)! That's right folks, the two love birds are now officially engaged to be married! Yay team!!

This is the exact spot where Kris proposed.

On behalf of everyone at Buttonhole, I'd like to congratulate Kris and Sarah. I am sure that everyone will be extremely happy about this fantastic news and wish them the wonderful life together that they both so truly deserve.

Kris and I go back quite a way, we even attended the same Kindergarten (and here we are, some 20 odd years later, and we're still talking about Star Wars and videogames)!

As for Sarah, well I'm rather fond of her. For those who weren't aware of it, she also happens to be my sister. I guess that means the friendly giant is set to be my brother-in-law!

To mark the occassion I've included a few of their photos from the holiday (well, you probably already saw that). Camera/publicity shy Sarah is probably going to kill me just for showing that one picture that has her face in it, so no chance there'd be more than that! Mind you, there are some odd folks on this internet thingy, so I can't say I blame her too much.
