Scott Tipton from www.moviepoopshoot.com who writes the excellent "Comics 101" column there (amongst other things), and also did a great Q & A article for us some time ago, sent out this news in an email to his readers a while back. I meant to post it at the time, but completely forgot. Better late than never right? Cheers Scott, good luck with it all and keep up the fantastic work.
Dear COMICS 101 Readers:
Once again, I beg your forgiveness for this spammish intrusion into your mailbox. Feel free to delete away if you're so inclined. For those of you who may for some reason be interested in my work, I've got some exciting news.
This month's PREVIEWS features my first published work in comics, the second SPIKE one-shot from IDW, SPIKE:
OLD WOUNDS, written by yours truly and drawn by Fernando Goni. At the risk of sounding immodest, I'm really proud of this one, and I hope you'll check it out. This second solo adventure of the fan-favorite character from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and ANGEL has something for everyone: suspense, action, a little humor and some absolutely beautiful artwork by Fernando Goni, featuring what I think is some of the best work he's done. I've seen the pages, and they're outstanding.
SPIKE: OLD WOUNDS will be released in January, so if you want to make sure you get a copy, head on down to your local comic shop and pre-order it. If you're looking for an online store, I'm happy to once again recommend the good folks at Earth-2 Comics (www.earth2comics.com). Just shoot them an e-mail at earth2@sbcglobal.net and they'll be happy to tell you how to order. I know it sounds like hype, but the last SPIKE one-shot sold out immediately upon release, and I wouldn't expect this one to be any different.
Thanks for letting me take up a moment of your time, and thanks for all the support in the past. See you next Wednesday (and every Wednesday) at the Poop!
Regards,
Scott
